Together with our family
Josh & Jessica
Two hearts, four children, and one God who wrote the whole story.
Chapter One
Us, first

The quiet kind of love
We didn't fall in love in a hurry. We grew into it — through ordinary weeks, long days, and a house that never really gets quiet.
Somewhere between school drop-offs and late-night talks on the porch, we realized we had stopped building two separate lives. We laugh at the same things. We pray about the same things. And after every hard day, we still choose each other.
So on September 13th, we are making it permanent — in front of the people who have carried us and the God who brought us here.
The yes
A ring, a park full of Spanish moss, and the easiest answer either of us has ever given.
We walk slower than we used to. We hold hands in parking lots. We have learned that a good life isn't the one without weight — it's the one you get to carry together.

Chapter Two
The foundation
We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again — and that everything good in our life flows from that one truth.
Our marriage is not the center of our home; Christ is. He is the reason we can forgive quickly, serve gladly, and hope honestly on the days that ask more of us than we have. We are not marrying because life is easy. We are marrying because grace is real, and because a family built on the Rock stands.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15
“Love is patient, love is kind. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:4, 7
“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
Chapter Three
The Green family
Four children. One loud, full, deeply loved house.
We are keeping their names and their faces off of this page on purpose — the internet does not need our kids' details. But they are the whole reason this day matters. They are why we set the table for six, why the car is never clean, and why every plan we make starts with the question: what is best for them?
A full table
Dinner is chaos, and we would not trade a single seat at it.
A shared faith
Prayers before bed, questions we cannot always answer, and a God who is patient with all of us.
One team
Four kids, two parents, and a rule that nobody carries anything alone.

A part of the family
Ava
Our daughter Ava has CDKL5. She is non-mobile and non-verbal, and she is one of the brightest parts of this family.
We share her story with her dignity in front of it. Ava is not a diagnosis — she is a girl who rides the bus to school, works hard in therapy, and comes home to a family that is built around her.
Round the clock
Ava requires 24/7 care. Someone is awake, watching, and within arm's reach of her at every hour of the day and night.
Medication
Significant medication, multiple times a day, on a schedule that never moves and never pauses.
Equipment
Specialized eating, standing, and bedding equipment — every piece fitted to her, and every piece outgrown in time.
School days
A specialized wheelchair lets Ava ride the bus every day to school, where she spends her day learning and doing physical therapy.
Getting there
Our family needs vehicles that can carry all four children plus Ava's wheelchair and her equipment. Ordinary cars do not do it.
Her voice
Ava is non-mobile and non-verbal. She tells us everything anyway — and we have learned to listen closely.

Chapter Four
Grateful, and looking ahead
We thank the Lord for where He has us right now — good careers, and the flexibility to be present for our children.
We do not take a single day of it for granted, because we can see the road ahead clearly. As Ava grows, her medical equipment needs will only become more expensive. Counting on private insurance and government assistance is very difficult, and the gaps are real.
Ava will never have a job of her own. She will require 24/7 care long after Josh and Jess are able to provide it. So we plan, we save, and we trust God with the part we cannot see.
Chapter Five
Preferred gifting
Your presence is genuinely the gift. If you feel led to do something more, we have two things to ask instead — and both of them matter far more to us than anything on a registry.
One
Give your time
Spend a few hours volunteering with a church in your local community. Serve someone who cannot repay you. That is the kind of gift that keeps moving after the day is over. If you don't know where to start, our church has opportunities listed.

Ava's Special Needs Fund
A private fund set aside entirely for Ava. Every dollar goes toward setting her up for lifelong care — equipment, therapy, transportation, and the support she will need long after we are able to give it ourselves.

A larger celebration to come
Our wedding day will be an incredibly intimate, local gathering centered on our new family.
We are looking forward to a larger reception in early 2027 so we can celebrate with everyone we love. Stay tuned!
